The Stud Karlshof of Michaela and Bruno Faust exists since approx. 18 years in the "Tuscany of Germany" on an area of about 60 ha of grazing land.

Since 1993 there are also stallions in the stud.
The first was GREINTON, since 1996 there was the Irish Derby winner WINGED LOVE on the stud Karlshof and with the Derby winner SAMUM at the end of 2002 there was the first home-grown stallion who moved into a stall in his home stud.

In 65 stalls are constantly approximately 30 broodmares with her progeny. During the season which begins in the middle of february and lasts until the end of june there are additionally guest broodmares which will be stud by SAMUM and/or WAR BLADE .

Under the care of stud manager Holger Schmeling, who since mid-1997 conducts the stud, and his 7 employees were on the stud Karlshof already been a number of first class horses born and raised, such as:
